Home | FMOz 2026 | Previous years

FMOz will be held at the University of Queensland, 4th and 5th of June, 2026.

Presentations

If you are interested in presenting please contact Kirsten by email.

Talk selection is non-competitive as far as possible and we do our utmost to provide time to everyone who wishes to present. Presentations may be complete work, or work in progress, tool demonstration or tutorials you believe would be of interest to the audience.

Proceedings of the workshop are not published but abstracts will be uploaded to the website as have been in previous years.

Format

Presentations time-slots will be approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the number of speakers.

Schedule

The program on the 4th will run from approximately 10am to 5pm, and the 5th 10am to 2pm, to allow those travelling interstate time to reach and depart the venue. On both the 4th and 5th we will take a group lunch at a restaurant/cafe on campus. There will be a dinner on the 4th at a restaurant to be decided.

While attendance is free, unfortunately, we do not have funding to provide catering.

A full talk schedule will be released following the registration deadline.

Location

FMOz 2026 will be located at The University of Queensland St Lucia Campus, room information will be provided closer to the date.

UQ can be reached by City Cat to UQ lakes, the Brisbane Metro (Bus) from South bank or the CBD, or bus to Chancellors Place bus stop from the South or West.

FMOz falls in the study break, so paid parking on campus will likely be available, the closest being along Sir William Macgregor Drive or Konifer Knoll carpark.
